HCG 5000IU Injection is used in the treatment of infertility in women. It is also helpful in the treatment of male hypogonadism (delayed puberty, and low sperm count). It works by releasing the eggs from the ovary in women and by increasing the testosterone level in men. After receiving an injection of human chorionic gonadotropin, ovulation can occur between 24-48 hours, with the average time being within 36 hours. Ovulating as early as 24 hours is less likely, however, it can happen and couples should be prepared. Human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) has been used to prevent subsequent miscarriages after previous recurrent miscarriages.
